About Us

Marshlands Conservancy is a native wildlife conservancy of 147 acres, including one-and-a-half miles of shoreline, in Rye, NY. Nestled above Milton Harbor, it is a watershed area and an inlet of Long Island Sound. It has five distinct habitats that are designated as critical habitats and bioreserves for the preservation of species. It is owned and operated by the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation.

hours and directions

Marshlands Conservancy is open year-round. The three miles of hiking trails are open daily from dawn to dusk. There are 1.5 miles of shoreline.

The visitor center is open from Wednesday through Sunday, from 9am to 4pm.
