You can help us track changes in our salt marsh environment that can be hard to see in the day-to-day cycles of nature. Environmental changes happen gradually, and long-term monitoring can help reveal what is happening and make it easier to see.
Another aspect of this long-term monitoring is tracking the phenological shifts or seasonal timing of nature throughout the years and how it might be shifting.
This Chronolog station is a timelapse project featuring all photos taken over time by visitors like you! Each photo taken and uploaded will add to the sequence and helps to give us the bigger picture of how the salt marsh is changing.
To contribute to this project, just follow the instructions on the Chronolog station at the head of the trail leading to Parsons’ Pond. You can take a photo anytime you are visiting the park, even a few photos over the course of a longer visit can be uploaded.
We thank you for your interest and participation in this project!
